Apprentice Social Media Content Creator

Responsibilities

• Taking photographs and short videos of nursery activities, events and learning experiences.
• Creating engaging social media content, including reels, stories and posts.
• Writing creative and informative captions and promotional content.
• Assisting with the planning and scheduling of our social media content calendar.
• Supporting the management of our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
• Monitoring social media performance and engagement, helping to identify which content performs best and suggesting ideas to improve reach and interaction.
• Keeping up to date with relevant social media trends, platform updates and content styles that generate strong engagement.
• Bringing your own creative ideas to help grow our online presence and community engagement.
• Assisting with the design and distribution of promotional materials, including leaflets and posters.
• Supporting wider online marketing activities and campaigns.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will:
• Be creative and full of ideas.
• Have a genuine interest in social media, marketing and content creation.
• Have a confident working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram.
• Understand what drives engagement on social media and be interested in analysing successful content.
• Be willing to keep up to date with relevant trends, platform updates, new features and content formats, adapting ideas appropriately for a nursery audience.
• Have an eye for creating content that is engaging, professional and aligned with the nursery's values.
• Be interested in photography, videography and storytelling through digital content.
• Be eager to learn and develop professionally.
• Be reliable, organised and able to manage their time effectively.

Preferred

• Desirable but not essential:
• Previous experience managing a social media account, creating digital content, photography, videography, editing reels or producing content for online platforms.
• Experience using Canva or similar design tools.
