Job Description

Responsibilities

Trend & Opportunity Identification – Lead ongoing identification and synthesis of macro, consumer, cultural and category trends through social listening, research and other relevant sources. Translate findings into implications and opportunities for eos.
Competitive Intelligence & Analysis – Own competitive tracking across existing and prospective product categories, identifying notable launches, claims, formats, formulas and whitespace opportunities. Evaluate key competitive products and provide clear recommendations and implications for the business.
Consumer Research & Insights – Partner with the Consumer Insights team to develop and execute consumer research, including surveys, concept evaluations and product feedback initiatives. Analyze results and synthesize key insights and recommendations.
Product Evaluation & Feedback – Lead the collection, synthesis and communication of cross-functional product feedback to help facilitate product optimization, redirects and approvals throughout the development process.
Innovation & Product Storytelling – Develop clear, compelling presentations that bring together consumer insights, product strategy, competitive context, visuals and recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
Cross-Functional Innovation Leadership – Lead and facilitate recurring product evaluation sessions, R&D meetings and other cross-functional innovation forums, ensuring clear objectives, decisions, owners and next steps.
Consumer Sentiment Analysis – Analyze ratings, reviews, social conversation and other consumer feedback to identify recurring themes, unmet needs and opportunities to improve the consumer experience or inform future innovation.
Program Management & Communication – Maintain visibility to innovation program status, key milestones, decisions, risks and dependencies. Proactively communicate progress and next steps to cross-functional partners and escalate issues as needed.
Strategic & Ad Hoc Projects – Lead or support priority Product Marketing and Innovation initiatives as business needs evolve.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product marketing, innovation, brand management, consumer insights, product development or a related field; beauty, personal care or consumer products experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to translate consumer, competitive and cultural insights into actionable product and business recommendations.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize multiple sources of information into a clear point of view.
Experience managing cross-functional projects and driving workstreams forward in a fast-paced environment.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both working teams and senior stakeholders.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Collaborative, proactive and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
Passion for consumer products, innovation and identifying what’s next.
