Collaborate with investment teams (portfolio managers, analysts, and portfolio specialists), sales and client service teams, and marketing colleagues to help bring together the best thinking from across the firm and present cohesive perspective on the issues that matter most to our clients and drive engagement
Understand, analyze, and articulate the forces shaping the investment landscape and the implications for client portfolios and long-term objectives.
Contribute ideas and ask questions to help make content relevant, accessible, and actionable
Participate in client and prospect meetings and other investment-related forums to provide expertise on macro-economic trends and overall landscape
Handle other ad-hoc content related tasks and projects

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of financial journalism experience, preferably within a highly regarded financial publication such as FT, WSJ, the Economist or Bloomberg
Ability to communicate with various levels of seniority in the organization
Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
In-depth knowledge of investment concepts and macroeconomic topics
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a range of complexity and abilty to adjust tone and message for specific audiences and diverse formats
Highly effective speaker and willingness to present in-person to various audiences
Execution oriented with ability to problem solve and navigate within an organization
Location Chicago or NY preferably with willingness to travel ~30%
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Master’s degree in economics, political science or related degree is highly preferred
