Job Summary

Own and grow Joni and Friends’ social media presence by coordinating content, engaging audiences, and monitoring channels, while aligning with the organization’s faith-based mission.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Coordinate social media content engagement across multiple platforms
Assist in producing and curating graphics, videos, and written content specific to each platform and audience to maximize engagement and grow Joni and Friends audiences
Post written responses/outreach across multiple digital and social media platforms
Assist in responding to comments on paid digital ads
Monitor social media channels
Monitor channels and actively report and remove spam comments and accounts
Engage in daily constituent conversations to facilitate audience care and growth
Monitor trends in social media tools, channels, design, and strategy
Recommend creative opportunities for engagement, including campaigns and collaborations
Assist in identifying trends, influencers, and other collaboration opportunities for potential ministry engagement

Requirements

Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, social media, or communications role
Bachelor’s Degree
Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
Understanding of social media best practices using data to inform decisions; ability to write compelling and empathetic copy across digital channels
Commitment to accuracy with a strong sense of confidentialty
Working competencies in MS 0365, Asana, or similar project management tools, social media platforms, and video creation tools

Preferred

Experience creating social media graphics, video, and written content; experience managing accounts on behalf of an organization or public figure
Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
