Web Content Manager oversees content strategy and governance for Elmira College’s externally facing sites and campaign properties.

• Write, edit, and implement content optimized for search engine optimization (SEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) principles to improve discoverability in both traditional and AI-driven search environments
• Evaluate, refine, and maintain high-priority content across ECs externally facing websites to strengthen clarity, engagement, and institutional impact
• Collaborate with the Director of Communications & Content Strategy and campus subject matter experts to produce clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content for web audiences
• Maintain and regularly update content that advances institutional priorities, including enrollment, fundraising, and alumni engagement, as well as career outcomes content on academic program pages to ensure accuracy
• Identify and address duplicated, overlapping, or outdated content to reduce redundancy and improve the overall user experience
• Work closely with the VP of Communications & Marketing and the comprehensive campaign consultants to ensure the campaign website reflects current phases, priorities, and goals
• Serve as a campus resource in the Colleges content management system, providing guidance and support to all departments on content best practices and governance
• Respond to web support requests and content updates, as well as identify, resolve, and escalate website issues
• Assist with accessibility reporting using established tools to identify issues, track progress, and support compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA or higher standards
• Serve on the Provosts Digital Accessibility Task Force
