Job Summary

Lead Journey Further's US organic strategy and growth, shaping the proposition and expanding DPR into broader, AI-driven organic engagements.

  • Own definition and delivery of the US organic strategy and client-facing voice.
  • Must-have: Senior organic strategy experience with a strong commercial track record.
  • Standout: Cross-market leadership with UK team and proprietary AI/Discoverability framework.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Grow the US organic business and shape the US organic proposition
  • Audit the existing US DPR client base for organic cross-sell opportunities. Identify where clients have gaps in SEO, content, LLM visibility, or integrated organic strategy
  • Translate Journey Further's framework and AI-first organic methodology into a proposition that resonates with US buyers
  • Drive new business by expanding existing DPR clients into broader organic engagements and by opening new organic-led or Discoverability-led relationships
  • Work closely with the UK Organic Media leadership, Strategy Director, and capability leads to ensure strategic consistency, share learnings, and draw on UK expertise and resource
  • Define the team structure and capability needed to deliver
  • Architect AI-first search strategies, navigating the shift from traditional keyword rankings to AI-driven visibility, providing high-level consultancy on AI Overviews (SGE), LLM-powered engines, and the impact of platform fragmentation on the user journey
  • Operationalise Proprietary Tech leveraging our internal Salient platform and AI Overviews research to translate complex data into clear, actionable growth maps for Tier 1 clients
  • Implement and lead the adoption of our Discoverability measurement (RDS) framework, moving clients beyond legacy KPIs toward a holistic view of organic presence across the digital ecosystem
  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert for key accounts, demystifying how generative AI reshapes organic intent and advising on long-term investment in a post-search-engine-results-page (SERP) world

Requirements

  • Agency-side experience, ideally in a growing or scaling business
  • Senior organic strategy experience with a strong commercial track record; you've grown organic businesses, not just managed them
  • Deep understanding of the US digital marketing landscape, including the agency and in-house buyer ecosystem
  • Breadth of knowledge and experience across organic disciplines; comfortable leading conversations about SEO, content strategy, digital PR, and how they connect
  • Experience selling and positioning integrated organic services, not just individual channel capabilities
  • Strong new business skills. You're comfortable in pitches, client development meetings, and commercial negotiations
  • Ability to translate strategic frameworks into language US clients understand and buy into
  • Experience working across US and UK teams or markets
  • Understanding of Digital PR and how earned media connects to SEO and content performance
  • Experience building teams or functions from early stage
