Job Summary

Own the marketplace P&L end to end with a clear ownership of revenue, margin, and contribution by steering input levers like sessions, conversion, pricing, and media; lead channel ops and content quality to squeeze every conversion; and drive disciplined expansion through test and learn with go/no-go gates for new platforms.

  • Ownership of the full profit and loss, including planning and fast adjustments based on performance signals.
  • Channel Ops and Content: maintain PDPs, Brand Stores, and Buy Box health while enforcing content quality and compliance.
  • Expansion discipline: structured evaluation, prioritization, and gated scaling for new platforms and geographies.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • P&L Ownership: Own the number with full accountability for revenue, gross margin, and contribution margin across the marketplace portfolio, managing inputs like sessions, conversion, ASP, pricing, media, and cadence to plan and adjust quickly.
  • Channel Operations & Content: Run listings, content quality, Buy Box health, compliance, fulfillment, retailer media, and ensure PDPs, A+ content, and brand stores are conversion-focused.
  • Expansion: Apply a structured test-and-learn framework for new marketplace opportunities domestically and internationally, with clear prioritization and gates before scaling.
  • Team & Organization: Build and lead a cross-functional team including content, operations, media, and analytics, integrating offshore capability and managing talent needs.

Requirements

  • Significant (10+ years) experience leading and scaling a large-volume marketplace with senior-level P&L ownership.
  • Deep, hands-on Amazon 3P expertise: Seller Central, AMS/DSP, Brand Analytics, content, and health.
  • Active experience on Walmart Marketplace or similar platforms with clear platform-dynamics understanding.
  • Proven expansion track record across platforms/geographies with structured evaluation and GTM approach.
  • Strong financial acumen: forecast-building, P&L ownership, and linking operations to outcomes.
  • Experience leading domestic and offshore teams; comfortable across time zones.
  • Player-coach: sets strategy while staying close to execution and leadership from experience.
  • Strong executive communicator able to present performance, strategy, and investment cases to C-suite.
