Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize key external audiences, with a focus on donors, funders, partners, and community stakeholders
  • Develop clear and compelling messaging that communicates both our value and our impact on the communities we serve
  • Review our current communications materials and outreach efforts to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Recommend effective channels and approaches (e.g., email, LinkedIn, newsletters, partnership outreach, and targeted campaigns)
  • Create a structured implementation roadmap with timelines, priorities, and actionable next steps
  • The final deliverable will be a concise, actionable communications plan that our team can immediately use to improve engagement and visibility
  • We will provide existing materials, program context, and audience insights to ensure the strategy is grounded in our current work and goals
  • A dedicated team member will work closely with the volunteer throughout the project
  • We will hold weekly check-ins to provide feedback, answer questions, and maintain progress
  • Leadership will be available for input and timely decision-making to keep the project aligned and actionable
