Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for the full Elsevier Health Education portfolio — both existing products and new launches.
  • Build deep market intelligence on the health education landscape & competitive positioning.
  • Define distinct value propositions for institutional buyers (universities, nursing programs, health systems) and individual learners.
  • Lead a team of product marketers aligned to key product lines; establish launch processes and field enablement standards.
  • Partner with Education BU leadership on roadmap input, launch readiness, and commercial strategy — bringing the buyer's voice into product decisions.
  • Build the sales enablement toolkit: collateral, case studies, competitive battle cards. Partner closely with Customer Success.
  • Define and report on the portfolio's marketing-influenced metrics: adoption, renewal, expansion, and student engagement.
  • Develop a narrative for Elsevier Health Education that is compelling to institutions, faculty, and students simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product marketing experience; 3+ years in a senior leadership role with direct reports.
  • Strong background in healthcare education, edtech, or professional learning — you understand how academic institutions buy and how learners engage.
  • Proven ability to build differentiated positioning in competitive, content-rich categories.
  • Experience working across both institutional B2B and individual B2C marketing motions.
  • Strong cross-functional operating instincts — comfortable partnering with Product, Sales, and Business Unit leadership.
  • Exceptional written storytelling; able to craft a narrative that resonates with deans and a second-year nursing or medical student simultaneously.
  • Track record of launching products in education technology or professional development markets.
  • Prior experience at an edtech or health education company.
  • Deep understanding of the nursing & medical education pipeline and how institutions select learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with how AI-powered learning tools — spaced repetition, adaptive testing, clinical simulation — are reshaping student expectations.

Benefits

  • We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization. We offer an appealing working prospect for our people. With numerous wellbeing initiatives, shared parental leave, study assistance and sabbaticals, we will help you meet your immediate responsibilities and your long-term goals.
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times when you work in the day to help you fit everything in and work when you are the most productive
