Job Description

Responsibilities

Strategy: Development of strategic initiatives and approach to Teach Us Consent’s work in the United States, including alignment to global objectives and the resources available, and attempting to grow the organization’s funding and partnership base.
Partnerships: Build and manage partnerships across academia, music and arts (including music festivals), sport, gaming, digital and social media focused on providing innovative educational content and public messaging. Role includes growing partnerships for the newsletter and other content avenues.
Public Engagement: Lead or support initiatives such that raise the organization’s visibility, including networking and stakeholder engagement.
Communications : Develop and execute a US focused communications strategy that positions Teach Us Consent as a culturally relevant, youth-led authority on consent education, through tailored messaging, campaigns and media engagement. Oversee audience growth, leveraging digital channels to drive awareness, engagement, and impact.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Identify, engage, and operationalise relationships with key U.S. stakeholders for strategic opportunities. This includes corporations and nonprofits.
Education Resources: Coordinate the development of tailored resources for parents, teachers, and young people in the U.S. This also includes using technology to promote education resources.
Team Management: Provide support and direction to the U.S. based intern and any additional team members as the program grows.
Resource Development: As required, support with identifying and applying for funding and grant opportunities to expand our impact.
Operations : Oversee the establishment and day-to-day operations of Teach Us Consent in the United States. Build and manage core operational systems, including governance to enable sustainable growth and eSective program delivery.

Requirements

Comfortability with oversight of US operations
Strong understanding of the gender-based violence/ sexual violence prevention industry in the US
Confident and experience in meeting and networking with high-profile people, donors, and organizations, representing the organization and our mission.
Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships with diplomacy and strategic intent.
Demonstrated experience in communications, public policy, business, law, or a related field.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats and audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment.
Commitment to social justice and a world free from sexual violence.
Comfort with public speaking, facilitation, and community/stakeholder engagement.

Preferred

Experience in grant writing or fundraising is a plus.
