Job Summary

Drive campus recruitment and outreach for KU’s School of Social Welfare as a student ambassador, coordinating tours, info sessions, and events.

  • Lead tours, information sessions, and recruitment events for prospective Social Welfare students.
  • Must-have: Enrolled in KU’s Social Welfare program and in good academic standing with SW 220 completed.
  • Standout: Structured, hourly role with campus-wide collaboration and training.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • 90% - Office Hours, Tours, Recruitment Events, Student Outreach
  • Hold two scheduled office hours each week. During office hours, ambassadors will provide tours of Green Hall for prospective students and guests, and assist with tasks assigned by the School of Social Welfare’s recruitment staff.
  • Assist with recruitment events.
  • Participate in virtual information sessions for prospective students.
  • Write notes, emails, and make phone calls to prospective Social Welfare students.
  • Write blog posts for the School of Social Welfare website highlighting the BSW student experience.
  • Assist with updates to recruitment and promotional materials.
  • Attend ambassador meetings and training sessions each semester.
  • 10% - Event Support
  • Assist with KU School of Social Welfare events and functions.
