Job Summary

Own field KOL strategy and advisory-board enablement, coordinating cross-functional programs with Marketing, Medical, and Sales to shape the neurology outreach and promotional content.

  • KOL Strategy & Engagement: plan and sustain thought-leader plans and congress engagements that feed commercial priorities.
  • Field Alignment & Insights: translate KOL feedback into on-label tactics and cross-functional action, partnering with Medical Science Liaisons and field teams.
  • Speaker Development & Compliance: recruit, train, and coach physicians, ensuring compliant execution and feedback-driven content evolution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans for thought leaders
  • Plan and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plan with a focus on meaningful engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiatives
  • Support commercial KOL influence mapping initiatives by developing profiles
  • Monitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for consideration
  • Act as liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on label activities, including office-based cross-functional colleagues and teams (Marketing, Medical, Diagnostics, and Executive leadership)
  • Assist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insights
  • Align with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customers
  • Work with Marketing and Sales Management to identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureaus
  • Train, evaluate, and coach physician speakers to provide high-quality branded and unbranded education
  • Ensures appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 plus years’ work experience in academia, medical or bio/pharma
  • Experience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagement
  • Working knowledge of Thought Leader engagement practices.
  • Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease states
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to manage large geographical territory
  • Must live within the assigned territory or within 150 miles of the boarder of the territory
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Travel requirements: Willing to travel >50% of the time including significant overnight and weekend travel

Preferred

  • Graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA)
  • Prior experience and/or relationships within the Neurology area
  • Prior experience in bio/pharma in Marketing or thought leader engagement strongly preferred
  • Self-driven with strong organizing and planning skills
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines
