Work Schedule: Hybrid/remote with at least two days in office required per week

POSITION SUMMARY

This internship will offer hands-on experience in content strategy, member communications, and brand development at a global organization whose audience includes Chief Information and Security Officers and senior security executives at the world's largest financial institutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the development and editing of member-facing written content across digital, email, and report formats.
  • Assist with content strategy initiatives, including audits, rewrites, and channel alignment.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing activities supporting FS-ISAC events and publications.
  • Research industry trends, member needs, and competitive positioning to inform communications strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Events, Membership, and Intelligence to support cross-functional content needs.
  • Present work and findings to senior leadership at the end of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program, with a concentration in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and format for different audiences and channels.
  • Detail-oriented with experience managing editorial processes or content workflows preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and content management systems is a plus.
  • Interest in financial services, policy, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a hybrid internship. The intern must report to Reston, VA office two days per week. Interns are expected to maintain a professional work environment and be able to perform the essential functions of the role.
