Own the social media content lifecycle and student communications, guiding content production, newsletter creation, inquiries handling, and department outreach.

Support inquiries and department events

Job Description

Responsibilities

Work with faculty to create social media content.
Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (status text, photos, videos, news, etc.).
Create a monthly newsletter for Communication students.
Serve as the point person for general student inquiries.
Assist with the department website.
Assist the Department Chair with regional conference planning.

Requirements

Must be a current UVU student in Applied Communication or Public Relations and Strategic Communication major with Junior or Senior status
Ability to devote an entire year (two semesters)
Knowledge and experience with creative software and social media (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Knowledge of working with diverse populations.
