Strategy & Content Lead, Part-Time, Remote, 10–20 hrs/week, Compensation depending on experience

Wired Moon is a web design and development agency with 20+ years of experience working with research institutions, academic medical centers, and university departments, primarily at Stanford University. Our clients have complex stories to tell and audiences that don't overlap, and our job is to help them figure out how to tell those stories clearly online before we build anything.

We're looking for a Strategy & Content Lead to join us part-time. This role is built for someone who already has a professional footing and is looking for substantive work on the side. Not someone who needs this to be their primary income. That model has worked well for us and tends to work well for the right person.

What you'll do

You'll be the client-facing lead across the strategy and content phases of our projects. That means running discovery and sales meetings, building goals documents, developing information architecture and site maps, managing client feedback cycles, and guiding content development through to handoff to build. You'll work closely with our team and alongside AI tools that are woven into our workflow.

What we're looking for

You're articulate and at ease in client meetings. You can walk into a conversation with a research lab or a university department, ask the right questions, and help them see their own story more clearly. You have a background in content development/strategy, UX, communications, or something adjacent, enough to structure information for the web with confidence. Familiarity with higher education, academic medicine, or research institutions is a genuine advantage here. Our clients think and communicate in specific ways, and knowing that world shortens the learning curve considerably.
