Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support our efforts to inform and inspire employees and drive business priorities within the Mission Systems sector.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for assigned functional leaders by developing, implementing and measuring employee and executive communications plans and tactics.
  • Develop compelling content - write talking points, speeches, video scripts, employee announcements and executive summaries for senior leaders. You’re not someone who “speaks in corporate” – instead, you seek to find the wow factor in stories, translating business priorities into interesting stories that engage and inspire audiences.
  • Be a storyteller – conceptualize, find and produce a diverse array of inspirational content that supports our business goals and communications objectives.
  • Think omnichannel – once you find a good story, you’re someone who wants to amplify it across channels to drive impact for audiences, both internal and external.
  • Collect and analyze data, make recommendations to improve our approach and the results of future communications, events and activities.
  • Lead and/or support the coordination of executive events, including virtual and in person webcasts, site visits, conferences and ceremonies.
  • Ensure all communications strategies and tactics are consistent with the company’s strategic vision and reflect the Northrop Grumman brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 8 years of experience successfully developing and deploying communications practices or 6 years of communications experience with Master-level degree from an accredited university. Will consider 12 years of related experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Experience in employee, executive and broader communications disciplines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
  • US citizenship required

Preferred

  • Experience producing omni-channel editorial content for a newspaper, news channel, video, magazine or other venue.
  • Proficient in Associated Press Style.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems, including SharePoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field from an accredited university.

Benefits

  • Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
