Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy and execution. Lead the marketing strategy for elite basketball and ice hockey, creating quarterly plans with KPIs to drive brand awareness, demand generation, and customer retention through integrated, multi-channel campaigns. You'll ensure this strategy aligns with overall business goals by collaborating closely with sales and strategy teams.
  • Lead the pod. Take ownership of the basketball and ice hockey pod's output — guiding campaign development, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining a strong go-to-market process and cross-functional alignment.
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture. Implement a test-and-learn environment where you challenge assumptions, use data to optimize campaigns, scale what works, and continuously improve our approach.
  • Partner and collaborate. Work with central marketing functions (web, content, social, design) and product marketing teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality outputs for product launches and feature rollouts. Maintain strong relationships with leaders in Product Management, Customer Success, and Support to ensure business alignment.
  • Manage external partners. Manage external agencies in partnership with the Paid Media Manager, ensuring alignment on strategy, market insights, and performance expectations.
  • Understand the customer deeply. Utilize insights from Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Decision Science to maintain a strong understanding of the elite buyer. Dive into customer research and product engagement metrics to inform the team's efforts.
  • Analyze and report. Track and report on marketing performance, providing clear insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on key metrics such as CTR, CPL, CRO, and ROAS.
  • Manage budget and resources. Ensure marketing budget and resources deliver positive ROI by evaluating channel mix and progress toward key business metrics

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of marketing experience, an understanding of marketing strategy and go-to-market approaches, and a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Ice hockey knowledge. Familiarity with the elite ice hockey market and its buyer landscape.
  • Vendor management. Experience managing external vendors as an extension of an internal marketing team.
  • SaaS experience. Experience working in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.

Benefits

  • Work-life harmony. We'll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too. Plus, every five years, we give you a paid sabbatical to unplug and recharge.
  • Medical plans tailored for you and your family—including vision, dental, and fertility benefits—and stay supported with our EAP and Employee Resource Groups.
  • Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that's free money. We'll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
