Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute strategic internal communications plans to support business objectives. Track and analyze communication effectiveness using KPIs such as reach, engagement, and feedback (30%)
  • Design and deliver communications that reach employees with limited access to email or digital platforms by implementing and managing creative communication vehicles and approaches in support of company goals and strategy and serve as a liaison between field teams and corporate communications to ensure two-way feedback and engagement. (25%)
  • Lead planning and execution of employee events across the service territory, including town halls, benefit fairs, strategy roadshows, and appreciation days. Coordinate logistics, content development, speaker preparation, and post-event follow-up. Measure event impact and employee engagement through surveys and feedback loops. (20%)
  • Collaborate with other organizations such as HR, GREA, Operations to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of critical information. (15%)
  • Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g. Employment, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.) and participate as a key manager in career development and business planning (10%)
  • Job Scope - Must work continuously, effectively and skillfully with the Director of Communications and the staff of communications.
  • Position oversees and manages up to two communicators.
  • Responsible for staff communicators and their activities.
  • Requires ability to work independently and in conjunction with Director of Communications, represent and back up lead as necessary.
  • Requires ability to travel.

Requirements

  • 4-year relevant degree and a minimum of 10 or more years of experience in communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • In lieu of degree, 12-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and management skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation and independence will be critical.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking ability; self-motivation; organizational sensitivity.
  • Excellent follow through capability; demands high level of performance from self and others.
  • Demonstrated managerial experience.
  • Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear site, as applicable.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in communications, journalism or related discipline.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $132,000.00/Yr. – $181,500.00/Yr. plus an additional $25K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually.
