Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the association’s social media platforms, including planning, drafting, scheduling, and publishing content while maintaining a consistent posting cadence and brand voice.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization’s communications and marketing objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand audience reach, engagement, and follower growth across platforms.
  • Monitor social media activity and industry conversations, identifying emerging issues, opportunities, and reputational risks that may impact the association or its member companies.
  • Support the execution of digital communications strategies for issue campaigns, events, and related initiatives.
  • Create engaging multimedia content including graphics and short-form videos for posting to social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to amplify key announcements, initiatives, and events through social and digital channels.
  • Research and identify opportunities to collaborate with bloggers, podcasters, and social media influencers aligned with the association’s mission and priorities.
  • Coordinate outreach to digital creators and prepare briefing materials or partnership guidance for creator collaborations.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics including engagement, reach, audience growth, and conversions.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in PR, communications, journalism or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, communications and/or public affairs
  • Knowledge of social and digital strategy
  • Experience in project management
  • Social media proficiency
  • AP Style
  • WordPress
  • Microsoft Suite

Preferred

  • Agency experience preferred
  • Experience in basic graphic design (Canva preferred)
  • Adobe Suite (preferred)
  • photo and video-editing software (preferred)
