Job Summary

Drive on-camera leadership for a Software Development brand, turning tech expertise into high-converting video content.

  • Own on-camera roles for VSLs and funnel videos to showcase software topics.
  • Must-have: 5+ years in Software Development with deep domain fluency.
  • Standout: Stage-ready expertise and ability to translate complex tech into business-friendly concepts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Face of the Funnel: Record Video Sales Letters (VSLs), Facebook Ads, and "Thank You" page videos.
  • Expert Content Creation: Collaborate with our copywriters to turn technical jargon into persuasive scripts. You’ll participate in recorded briefing calls to "download" your knowledge to the creative team.
  • "Editor-Friendly" Recording: You will be trained on our specific recording workflow. This allows you to record in a way that makes it easy for our editors to remove bloopers, stutters, and outtakes, ensuring you look like a polished pro in the final version.
  • Influence & Advocacy: Act as the primary personality for our Software Development category across digital platforms and funnels.

Requirements

  • Screen Presence: You must be comfortable speaking to a camera as if you are speaking to a friend or a peer.
  • Content Creation Mindset: An interest in how video content is built and a willingness to learn the "art of the take."
  • Home Studio: You must have a clean, professional background for filming.
  • Technical Gear: You must own (or be willing to acquire) a 4K camera (smartphone or DSLR), a podcast-grade microphone with a preamp/interface, and professional lighting.
  • If you don't have this yet, we provide a researched list of the most high-quality, affordable gear to get you started.
  • Senior-Level Authority: You must possess a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the Software Development industry.
  • "Stage-Ready" Knowledge: You are a legitimate expert who could walk onto a keynote stage at a major tech conference (like AWS re:Invent, Google I/O, or Microsoft Build) and speak fluently without a script.
  • Deep Domain Fluency: You have a mastery of the development lifecycle, including architecture patterns, modern frameworks, DevOps, and scalability.
  • You can explain the "why" behind technical debt and architectural choices, not just how to write a line of code.
  • Educational Translation: You can take "in-the-trenches" engineering experience and translate it into high-level, persuasive concepts that resonate with business owners and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Have

  • Public Advocacy Experience: Preference is given to those who have previously engaged in public speaking, led webinars, or contributed to industry publications.
