Role Description

We are looking for a visually-driven and trend-savvy Instagram Content Creator Intern for a part-time, remote position. You will be responsible for managing and growing Cedar Creative Lab's Instagram presence, from concept to camera to publish.

This role is perfect for someone who lives on Instagram, has a strong aesthetic eye, and knows what makes content stop the scroll.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain a monthly Instagram content calendar
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative campaign concepts aligned with brand strategy
  • Create and edit visual content including Reels, carousels, stories, and static posts
  • Shoot lifestyle and brand content as needed
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions
  • Monitor Instagram analytics and adjust content strategy based on performance
  • Stay current on Instagram trends, audio, and algorithm updates
  • Maintain a consistent aesthetic and brand voice across all posts

Compensation & Details

  • Unpaid internship
  • Academic credit strongly encouraged, we are happy to support the credit approval process with your institution
  • Portfolio of real brand work, formal letter of recommendation, and direct mentorship from the founder
  • Commitment: ~20 hours per week for 3 months
  • Strong potential to convert into a full-time, paid position for the right candidate as the agency grows

Qualifications

  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and eye for visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, or similar editing tools
  • Experience with Canva or Adobe for graphic design
  • Active Instagram user with deep understanding of Reels, stories, and trends
  • Basic photography or videography skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, Design, or related field preferred
  • Austin-based preferred
