Job Summary

Own and coordinate social content across Admissions, Advancement, and university initiatives, ensuring an active presence, timely engagement, and policy compliance across colleges and platforms.

  • Content strategy and calendar: plan timely social content aligned to institutional activities and key priorities.
  • Platform oversight and engagement: monitor conversations, answer inquiries, and stimulate constructive dialogue across channels.
  • Collaboration and tooling: work with colleges and teams, stay current on social tech, and recommend new platforms or formats.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate the creation of social media content in support of the university’s revenue generating divisions (Admissions and Advancement) as well as broad university highlights and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the university’s colleges, including the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Online Learning, and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary to ensure an active social presence.
  • Monitor the reputation of the university via online conversations; take appropriate and timely action as needed.
  • Engage in online dialogue via the university’s social media platforms to answer questions, provide direction, and stimulate positive conversation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in social media platforms and innovation and make recommendations for adoption.
  • Provide cell phone photography and video footage as needed to meet content goals.
  • Maintain calendar of institutional activities and events in order to provide timely content.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to the university’s social media policies and update regularly.
