Job Description

Role Overview
The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and measurable results for agency clients. This role owns day-to-day strategy and execution for assigned accounts.
This role operates with growing independence, contributing strategic thinking while collaborating closely with senior team members on more complex initiatives. The Strategist is expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, apply data-driven insights, and deliver high-quality work within a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Execution
  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with client goals, brand voice, and campaign objectives.
  • Own content calendars and ensure consistent, high-quality execution across platforms.
  • Write and edit social copy tailored to platform best practices and audience behavior.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to concept and produce engaging visual content.
Campaign & Content Management
  • Manage day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Support integrated campaign execution across organic and paid social channels.
  • Ensure alignment with broader marketing and media strategies.
Analytics & Optimization
  • Monitor performance metrics and analyze campaign results.
  • Prepare reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously optimize content and strategy based on performance data and trends.
Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with account and creative teams to deliver cohesive client solutions.
  • Participate in client communications, including status updates and performance discussions.
  • Contribute to strategy development for new and existing client opportunities.

  • Uses data to guide decision-making and continuously improve performance.
  • Articulates ideas clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal forms.
  • Occasional travel to client sites, conferences, or company offices as needed
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • 2-3 years of professional social media marketing experience, preferably within an advertising or digital agency required.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, or programmatic tools.
  • Previous experience and familiarity with project management processes and tools such as Jira, Trello, Workamajig, or similar systems are helpful.
  • Proven success developing and executing multi-platform social media strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with social media management, publishing, and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
  • Experience managing both organic and paid social campaigns.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time, particularly while working on a computer.
  • Ability to alternate sitting, standing, and walking frequently.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 25 lbs.
