Drive the social-video workflow for a podcast network, turning show moments into platform-optimized clips and original social content while iterating based on performance data.

  • Performance Feedback: Track views, reach, followers, and click-throughs to inform creative strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, script, and produce engaging social content for each show in a variety of formats (both episode clips and original socially native content), determining optimal frequency and cadence for every platform
  • Collaborate with show producers and hosts to identify compelling moments in episodes that translate into short-form social pieces; craft a sharp storytelling arc for each clip through line edits, pacing, and added graphics.
  • Optimize content for platform performance (length, format, captioning, hashtags, thumbnails, CTAs) and stay current with algorithm changes and emerging formats.
  • Track performance metrics (views, reach, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs to episode/subscribe) and feed insights back into creative strategy

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating short-form video content (15 sec-3 min) for podcasts or media brands on social platforms.
  • Excellent storytelling instincts; knowing which moments to spotlight that hook viewers, evoke emotion or insight, and prompt engagement or action.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and their nuances: Instagram (feed, stories, reels), TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn. You stay up-to-date on trends, emerging formats, algorithm behaviour.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt creative approach/tone to different show audiences and brand personalities (for example, a tech-business show vs. a culture-comedy show).
  • Proficiency in static image design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) and video editing apps (CapCut); experience with Premiere a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/shows simultaneously, prioritize under tight deadlines, collaborate across teams.
  • Data-literate: you can interpret performance metrics and iterate accordingly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A portfolio or reel of past work completed as an end-to-end producer, showcasing short-form video and social campaign results.
  • Experience working in podcast media or editorial-driven media brands
  • Strong familiarity with collegiate and professional women’s sports leagues (especially WNBA and NWSL) and the big storylines around the intersection of sports and culture – specific fandoms appreciated but not required
  • Familiarity with audio editing or podcast production workflows a plus
