Social Media and Outreach Assistant

Responsibilities

• Cultivating new communities and managing online communities using Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok other social media as appropriate
• Collaborate on and implement Social Media Plan
• Works closely with WRC team to ensure proper content and messaging executed online is relevant to organizational goals
• Aggregate and/or create video and art content
• Update department website
• And, other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have 15-28 hours of availability to be in office Monday- Friday during working hours (8am-5pm). Remote work will not be permitted for this position.
• Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
• Strong creative and editorial writing skills.
• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to create timely and newsworthy stories.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse university and health care community.
• Strong proof reading and editing skills
• Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.
• Social media program planning and implementation skills.

Preferred

• Interest in social media, graphic design, and/or marketing
• Ability to design fliers and marketing materials with a quick turnaround time
• Ability to collaborate with a variety of groups
