Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to brainstorm social-first content ideas, recurring series, campaign concepts, and timely cultural opportunities.
  • Help plan, capture, edit, write, schedule, and publish content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Assist with photo and video capture in the office, behind the scenes, at live events, and during occasional off-site shoots.
  • Turn event footage, project stories, production details, and team expertise into Reels, short-form videos, carousels, Stories, and other engaging social content.
  • Write and refine captions, hooks, social copy, and short-form scripts in Contemporary’s brand voice.
  • Research emerging social formats, platform trends, industry conversations, and relevant cultural moments.
  • Help maintain the content calendar, organize creative assets, prepare posts for review, and keep projects moving through the approval process.
  • Review social performance and help identify which topics, formats, and creative approaches are connecting with the audience.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives—including email, website content, campaigns, and promotional materials—when opportunities arise.
  • Assist with paid social campaigns, Google Ads, Google Analytics, or performance reporting when relevant and based on experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media, Design, Business, or a related field—or able to demonstrate relevant experience through personal, academic, freelance, or professional work.
  • A genuine interest in social media, content creation, storytelling, branding, entertainment, or live experiences.
  • Strong creative instincts and an understanding of what makes content feel current, engaging, and natural to each platform.
  • Comfortable capturing photo and video content with a smartphone; experience with professional cameras is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with editing or creative tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar platforms.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging for different audiences and platforms.
  • Organized, reliable, receptive to feedback, and able to manage multiple assignments without losing attention to detail.
  • Willing to contribute ideas, ask thoughtful questions, experiment, and take initiative.
  • Available to work in person and occasionally assist with content capture at off-site locations or live events.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, WordPress, SEO, marketing automation, or CRM platforms is a plus—but these are not the primary focus of the internship.
