Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop a cohesive social strategy across SiriusXM’s sports properties, guiding content priorities and driving long-term audience growth.
  • Develop and refine social strategy across SiriusXM’s sports properties, identifying opportunities for growth and channel differentiation.
  • Leverage data and audience insights to shape long-term social strategy, optimize content priorities, and guide decision-making across sports properties.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets—photo, video, memes, reels, and short-form content—that resonate with fans and reflect the tone of Sports.
  • Monitor social trends and platform features to keep Sport’s content fresh, timely, and culturally relevant.
  • Partner with colleagues in programming, on-air talent, artists, and marketing teams to amplify key moments and campaigns to shape integrated campaigns and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with SiriusXM brand social handles when relevant.
  • Analyze content performance and audience insights, sharing regular reporting with stakeholders.
  • Stay on top of sports news, major cultural moments, and fan conversations to keep content in tune with the community.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a sports brand, media company, or entertainment property including experience developing social strategy for sports or entertainment brands.
  • 1- 3 years’ experience with People management, including either mentoring team members or direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide social direction across multiple properties or franchises.”
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of major sports categories, including the NFL, NBA, NASCAR, NHL, MLB, and broader sports culture.
  • Experienced in delivering clear communication to large teams, including presenting updates, providing feedback, and facilitating collaboration across diverse team members.
  • Proficient in content creation for social - producing/capturing content via iPhone/Android, editing video and photo.
  • Proficient in copywriting, tagging, publishing to social platforms, etc.
  • Deep knowledge and genuine passion for sports and sports culture.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, best practices, and native content formats.
  • Experience creating engaging content, including short-form video, social copy, and trend-reactive moments.
