Job Summary

Own social content and fan engagement for multiple hockey accounts, balancing live event coverage with audience growth, while leading a small team and coordinating with creatives and operations.

  • Own content strategy execution across digital and social touchpoints to deepen fan relationships.
  • Own day-to-day posting, content calendars, and live-event coverage across multiple accounts.
  • Own cross-functional collaboration with Creative Services, Video Production, Marketing, Operations, and Ticketing to drive audience and revenue outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and manage the content strategy across digital and social media platforms to grow and maintain audience engagement.
  • Oversee the scheduling and posting of photos, videos, articles etc. to all major social media platforms on a day-to-day basis that will engage and grow our various channels.
  • Schedule & post content for the following accounts: MN Wild, Wild Gives Back, MN Wild Pup, Wild on 7th, Hockey Day Minnesota (as needed)
  • Daily maintenance and oversite on the following accounts: MN Wild, Wild Gives Back, MN Wild Pup, Wild on 7th, Hockey Day Minnesota
  • Craft brand or product stories that will engage audiences on an emotional level.
  • Engage directly with fans and represent the brand at live events, community programs, and in-game experiences to deepen fan relationships and visibility.
  • Interact with fans, run in-game contests, and cover the action live.
  • Attend: Community events, Wild Foundation events? (as listed) or other events requiring content support
  • Lead strategic marketing initiatives and cross-functional collaboration while managing, guiding, and developing team members.
  • Develop and drive strategies for unlocking new audiences and revenue opportunities while growing engagement with current fans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field, sports emphasis is a plus or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of hockey is required
  • At least four years of experience in the field, with a proven track record of managing social media accounts and content
  • Proven people management experience, including directly supervising, coaching, and developing staff or interns
  • Exposure using social media analytics is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Experience managing content for accounts on Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
  • Previous experience working with a content calendar is preferred but not required
  • Experience with project management systems (Wrike preferred)
  • Travel up to 60% (away games, league meetings, draft, etc.)
