Job Summary

Own end-to-end social content and platform-specific strategies for LOVB Houston, ensuring a consistent brand voice while driving real-time coverage, athlete storytelling, and community engagement across channels.

  • Own end-to-end social content across platforms, maintaining a consistent LOVB Houston brand voice.
  • Lead real-time match coverage, athlete storytelling, community engagement, and asset delivery with data-driven optimization.
  • Collaborate across LOVB, LSS&E, and Houston Texans teams to support priorities and drive ticket sales, merchandise, and fan engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and evolve the LOVB Houston brand voice across all social platforms, ensuring alignment with the broader LOVB Pro league identity.
  • Own all copywriting for all social platforms, including match-day coverage, athlete storytelling, and community engagement.
  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies across all social channels.
  • Manage communication and delivery of marketing, creative, digital, and broadcast assets across all social platforms.
  • Ensure all sponsorship, community, and marketing initiatives are executed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with LOVB league staff, Lone Star Sports & Entertainment, and Houston Texans departments to ensure social support for organizational priorities.
  • Develop and amplify athlete-focused content that highlights LOVB Houston players’ stories, personalities, and on-court performance.
  • Create content that connects LOVB Houston’s professional team to the local volleyball community, including youth clubs and collegiate pipelines.
  • Compile, analyze, and present analytics reports to the internal team, including recommendations for strategy updates and performance improvements.
  • Create engaging and original content for all social media platforms, including short-form video, graphics, and interactive formats.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university preferred.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years developing content and managing social properties for a well-recognized brand, sports team, or entertainment organization preferred.
  • Passion for volleyball, women’s sports, and community-driven storytelling.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of social media best practices, including, but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to identify social trends and adjust strategy using analytical and quantitative problem-solving.
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours including match days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required .
  • Experience in data-driven social listening and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Zoomph , or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects) for short-form social creation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop solid working relationships at all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction to complete personal goals and as a team member in order to accomplish department goals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications.
