Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Concept, edit, and publish compelling social-first content, including short-form video, graphics, carousels, Reels, Stories, and platform-native formats, using strong hooks, storytelling techniques, and current content styles to bring GO Campaign’s mission and impact to life.
  • Own and manage GO Campaign’s social editorial calendar, identifying timely and evergreen story opportunities across Local Heroes, programs, campaigns, events, and organizational priorities.
  • Build genuine relationships with GO supporters, partners, Local Heroes, influencers, and celebrity ambassadors, and turn those relationships into social content and collaborations.
  • Keep GO Campaign's presence active and human through consistent engagement, tagging, reposting, and community-building — not just scheduled posting.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new collaboration opportunities that expand GO Campaign's reach.
  • Direct and delegate content work to freelancers, volunteers, and vendors as needed, providing clear creative direction.
  • Create, shoot, edit, and publish content that covers GO Campaign's brand, community connections and special events with a distinct, compelling voice.
  • Implement GO Campaign's existing social strategy across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging platforms, continuously sharpening GO Campaign social presence.
  • Support the shift in our paid social approach from an awareness strategy to one focused on revenue building, working hand-in-hand with GO's third-party ads manager on the content and targeting that drive that shift.
  • Track organic and paid social performance, supporting the Communications Director in translating metrics into clear takeaways and next steps.

Requirements

  • A self-starter mindset — you spot opportunities and act on them, and can take an existing strategy or agency-built plan and run with it, executing while knowing when to adjust.
  • Proven social media management experience for a nonprofit, brand, agency, or mission-driven organization, including paid campaigns built around revenue/conversion goals (not just reach), with comfort partnering with an ads manager or agency.
  • Strategic instincts paired with hands-on execution — you can plan a campaign and create or delegate the content for it, with sharp writing/captioning skills and the ability to adapt voice across platforms.
  • Strong social-first content creation skills, including concepting, shooting, and editing short-form video independently, backed by a sharp understanding of internet culture, trends, and platform best practices — and the judgment to know trend-aware from trend-chasing for a mission-driven audience.
  • Comfort with data — reading organic and paid analytics to identify top performers and inform decisions.
  • A collaborative style suited to a small team, external vendors, and high-profile partners/ambassadors.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Airtable, Meta Business Suite, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 13 days paid vacation annually, plus holidays
  • 7 days paid sick leave annually
  • 2 paid personal days annually
  • Bi-monthly cell phone reimbursement
  • Future eligibility for Partner Connection staff trips to visit GO partners internationally
  • Flexible work schedules and remote work opportunities

GO Campaign

For 20 years, GO Campaign has believed in one simple idea: the people closest to a problem are best equipped to solve it.That's why we partner with Local Heroes, grassroots leaders on the ground who know their communities, understand their needs, and are already doing the work. We find them, fund them, and amplify them. The results speak for themselves: 460,000+ children helped. 230 Local Heroes supported. 41 countries and counting. Our partners provide children and young adults with what they need most, shelter, food, clean water, education, medical care, and real opportunities to build a future. No red tape. No waste. Just direct, lasting impact. And here's what makes GO Campaign different: Every dollar you give reaches the children who need it most, because our operational costs are covered by private donors and sponsors. When you give to GO Campaign, you're not just writing a check. You choose the project. You receive updates on its progress. You become part of the solution.Because there's no better investment than the future of a child. 🌍
