Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
Create graphics, short-form videos, and captions aligned with brand voice
Capture content at events, including photos and video
Execute promotional plans for events (countdowns, reels, highlights, live coverage)
Translate event details into compelling, audience-friendly content
Ensure timely and consistent promotion leading up to events
Monitor comments, messages, and tags
Respond to inquiries and engage with followers in a timely manner
Identify opportunities to boost engagement and visibility
Assist in maintaining a content calendar
Coordinate with internal teams to gather event information and assets
Track deadlines for promotional needs
Track basic performance metrics (engagement, reach, attendance impact)
Provide insights on what content performs

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts. Experience promoting events or working in marketing/communications. Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar tools
Preferred: Photography and/or videography skills and copywriting experience
Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Non- supervisory experience or education may not be substituted for the required supervisory experience.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates: Have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or an equivalent driver's license and be eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver’s permit. PROVISIONAL DRIVER’S LICENSES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
