Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Too Sweet Cakes' presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies — understanding that what works on TikTok isn't what works on LinkedIn
  • Monitor content performance, surface insights, and translate data into strategic recommendations that move the brand forward
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, trends, and best practices, adapting our approach proactively rather than reactively
  • Concept, create, and produce engaging content including static posts, carousels, Stories, Reels, and TikToks
  • Write compelling copy across platforms — captions, campaign messaging, community responses — with a consistent brand voice
  • Maintain and execute a content calendar that keeps our posting cadence consistent, timely, and aligned with seasonal campaigns
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing team to bring campaign ideas to life from concept through execution
  • Engage authentically with our online community — responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a way that builds genuine connection
  • Monitor brand sentiment and flag opportunities or concerns as they arise
Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or a related marketing role
  • Demonstrated experience owning platform strategy — not just scheduling posts, but deciding what to post and why
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone across platforms and audiences
  • Proficiency in content creation tools — Canva is a must; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or equivalent) is a strong plus
  • Experience creating short-form video content with an understanding of what performs on Instagram and TikTok
  • Comfort with social analytics — you know which metrics matter and how to turn numbers into next steps
  • Hands-on experience managing multiple platforms simultaneously
  • A sharp eye for aesthetics, brand consistency, and visual storytelling
  • Self-starter who brings ideas and solutions, not just execution
  • A portfolio or examples of your work are required to be considered for this role. Please include examples of social media content you've created and managed (posts, Stories, Reels, campaigns), copywriting samples, and any work that demonstrates strategic thinking — not just creative output. Links to live brand accounts you've managed are welcome. Applications without work samples will not be reviewed.
Preferred
  • Bonus: photography skills, experience with food or lifestyle brands
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or equivalent) is a strong plus
Benefits
  • Benefits eligible — medical, dental, and vision available
  • Sick time
  • 401(k) — coming soon

Too Sweet Cakes

Every great story starts with a dream—and ours began with a simple one: to create pastries that not only tasted incredible but made people feel cared for.Too Sweet Cakes was founded in 2016 by Shelbi Geyer, whose love for baking started as a young girl, sketching cake designs and dreaming of one day opening her own bakery. That dream stayed with her, fueled by a passion for creativity, connection, and a belief that food could be something truly meaningful. What started as a small wholesale bakery quickly grew into something more. In 2018, we opened our first storefront in Bend, Oregon, creating a space where pastries weren’t just desserts—they were memories in the making. From there Too Sweet Cakes expanded to Lake Oswego, and today, we proudly operate four retail locations across Oregon and Arizona, with a fifth location opening in 2026 in Paradise Valley, Arizona.Beyond our storefronts, you’ll find Too Sweet Cakes pastries featured in over 100 locations across Oregon, Washington, and Arizona. It’s been an incredible journey—one made possible by the extraordinary team who has brought their talents, heart, and dedication into every part of the business. Our team of bakers, decorators, and visionaries are the heartbeat of Too Sweet Cakes. Together, we share a mission that’s never changed: to love people well through pastries. As we continue to grow, we remain rooted in the values that sparked it all—creativity, community, and a deep love for making people feel special. We are so grateful to every customer, partner, and community who has supported our journey—and we can’t wait to celebrate even more sweet moments with you, one bite at a time.
