Responsibilities

• Follow the journalism, PR and communications, AI, and social media landscape closely, and turn what is happening into timely content for those audiences
• Script, produce, and edit short-form vertical video and write posts for Perigon's social channels, including LinkedIn and X
• Use Perigon data to find and tell stories about how news coverage is moving
• Use AI tools throughout the content process, from research and scripting to video generation, editing, and repurposing one idea across formats
• Keep a consistent publishing cadence and help build a repeatable content system
• Learn and apply how content earns visibility in Google and in AI answer engines such as ChatGPT and Perplexity
• Track performance every week and connect content results to site traffic, signups, and pipeline
• Support product launches, campaigns, and newsletters

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
• A prior public relations internship or relevant PR and communications coursework (required)
• A proven track record creating content, with examples that show quality, a consistent cadence, and measurable results such as views, engagement, and follower growth. We will ask to see the numbers.
• Strong short-form vertical video skills: scripting, shooting, and editing
• Strong writing skills across formats, from a short post to a longer piece
• Hands-on experience using AI in your content work, with a real example you can walk us through
• A genuine interest in news, media, and AI, and fluency in how each social platform works

Preferred

• Experience with CapCut, Descript, Canva, or similar tools
• Familiarity with SEO basics or social analytics tools
• Experience growing an account from a small starting audience
