Job Description
Responsibilities
- Audience Engagement & Social Listening (35%)
- Monitor Earthjustice social platforms daily and engage with audiences through comments and conversations
- Conduct social listening to track sentiment and emerging narratives in the news cycle, identifying rapid response opportunities for engagement and thought leadership
- Share insights from social listening to inform content, campaigns, and engagement strategies
- Content & Copywriting (35%)
- Draft social media copy in collaboration with social team for use across platforms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and social media team to conceptualize and plan content for Earthjustice campaigns
- Ensure all content is accurate, on-brand, and tailored to target audiences
- Planning & Reporting (20%)
- Support reporting & analytics by pulling regular reports on social media metrics and campaign performance
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in social media, digital communications, or a related field
- Exceptional written communication and copywriting skills
- Experience in nonprofit, legal, or issue advocacy
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project timelines
- Strong understanding of social platforms and community management best practices
- Proficiency with social media management, listening, and reporting platforms such as Brandwatch, Sprout Social, and/or Hootsuite
- Basic design or video editing experience using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
