Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of shopper marketing programs across key U.S. retail accounts.
  • Develop and negotiate merchandising and promotional initiatives with retail partners.
  • Collaborate with retailers, agencies, distributors, and brand stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Manage retail media, in-store activation, promotional materials, and shopper engagement tactics.
  • Coordinate timelines, budgets, deliverables, and reporting across multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize visibility, trial, and sales performance at retail.
  • Monitor program execution and provide recommendations for optimization and future activations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in shopper marketing, retail marketing, trade marketing, or merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. shopper marketing landscape and retailer promotional programs.
  • Existing relationships with U.S. retailers, particularly within premium food and beverage categories.
  • Experience working with imported or specialty products, including wine, cheese, meat, seafood, produce, or other premium food categories.
  • Strong network within the shopper marketing ecosystem, including retail media, merchandising agencies, in-store activation partners, and point-of-sale material suppliers.
  • Exceptional project management, organization, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex programs simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.

Preferred

  • Experience managing national retail promotions and merchandising programs.
  • Familiarity with Japanese food products and/or international food and beverage brands.
  • Experience working with grocery, specialty, premium, or club retail channels.
