Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our retail team through dynamic store operations. Duties

• Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations
• Manage employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting efforts to build a high-performing team
• Oversee sales activities, including retail math calculations, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize revenue
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate purchasing to ensure product availability
• Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting while ensuring accuracy in payroll and bookkeeping tasks
• Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and enhance customer engagement
• Maintain organizational standards through effective stock stocking, merchandising, and inventory control practices
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, manage cash handling procedures, and uphold store cleanliness and organization

Experience

• Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in retail or grocery store environments
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across shifts
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
• Demonstrated experience in retail sales management, including customer service excellence and sales techniques
• Knowledge of inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math principles
• Background in recruiting, employee training & development, budgeting, and payroll processing
• Familiarity with merchandising strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional planning
• Prior experience in cashiering, stock management, and store operations is preferred
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities
