Job Summary

Own and optimize technical SEO programs across multiple client accounts, including audits, migrations, QA, ticketing, health monitoring, and experimentation across Webflow, WordPress, and modern frameworks.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • You will produce audits, run domain and CMS migrations, and reporting buildouts.
  • You will be tapped by account managers when technical SEO issues arise that are complex and need further investigation.
  • You will need to attend client calls to go over technical SEO issues and provide well thought out and easy to implement solutions.
  • You will be creating tickets in project management systems to get SEO fixes scheduled and implemented and monitoring the resolution of those tickets with client web teams.
  • You will be aware of technical site health for all accounts you are assigned to (using Ahrefs), and reach out to account managers when severe SEO issues go live.
  • You will run SEO experimentation for your client base using our homegrown experimentation platform.

Requirements

  • You are an experienced agency-side SEO professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience performing audits and experiments, implementing your own recommendations, and keeping sites technically performant over time.
  • You have a proven track record of execution. We want to see tangible results from your work, not just strategic thinking.
  • During the interview process we will want to see detailed examples of past work where you explain exactly what you did to help grow or recover traffic.
  • In-depth knowledge of all things technical SEO (crawling, rendering, indexation, site speed, internationalization, etc.) as well as on-page optimization, and links (but you will not do any link building or content strategy in this role).
  • You are extremely detail-oriented and can QA your own work so it is error free, easy to understand, and straightforward to implement.
  • You can communicate to non-technical stakeholders (both internal and external) clearly and concisely so they are aligned with your recommendations and understand the importance of signing off on them.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
  • You are deadline-conscious and proactive.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, loves to create and maintain process, and focuses on execution.
  • You have experience working with sites running on Webflow and WordPress.

Preferred

  • You are comfortable writing and QA'ing redirect rules that impact hundreds/thousands of pages.
  • Able to use Apps Script to automate aspects of your work.
  • Experience using ClickUp to run day-to-day work.
  • You use AI responsibly to find inefficiencies in your work and automate away manual toil.
  • You have supported domain and CMS migrations for sites with several thousand pages.
  • Experienced in using Google Tag Manager.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate HTML, CSS, and JS as it relates to SEO.
  • Basic understanding of, and ability to read/write, regular expressions.
