Job Description

Strategic Leadership on Client Accounts: Develop high-level SEO strategy aligned with client goals and lead strategic planning with client success managers and strategy leads.
SEO Ownership of 10+ Clients: Own SEO outcomes across 10+ client accounts and coordinate across teams to ensure consistent growth.
Multi-Channel Organic Strategy: Create comprehensive organic marketing plans spanning traditional search, social, AI platforms, and third-party sites to drive growth.
SXO/GEO Evolution: Help build new SXO and GEO tactics and service offerings as the field evolves.
Execution: Oversee traditional SEO with local and broad search, perform regular keyword research and on-page optimization, and monitor algorithm updates.
Technical SEO and CMS: Identify and resolve technical SEO challenges across multiple CMS environments.
AI and LLM Strategy: Design strategies to influence output of large language model based systems and define measurement.
Visibility in AI Answer Engines: Direct SXO strategy and shape how clients earn visibility in AI answer engines with clear metrics.
Social Search Optimization: Identify and optimize for social search trends on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Data and Reporting: Use GA4 to track effectiveness and deliver regular performance reports to clients and internal teams.

5+ years of SEO/content-strategy experience, including owning client relationships and driving measurable results.
Deep understanding of SEO and its contribution to business goals.
Experience in keyword research, technical optimization, and content strategy to inform decisions.
Current point of view on AI search (GEO/AEO) with genuine curiosity and experimentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication with client-facing presentation experience.
Proven cross-functional collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal direction.
Work in Minneapolis office 3 days per week.

Agency experience is a plus.
