Job Summary

Own medical strategy from literature to client deliverables, turning dense trials and data into stakeholder-ready narratives for HCPs and patients while shaping KOL conversations and senior-side pitches.

  • Research to insights: translate literature, trials, and competitive intelligence into unmet medical needs and strategy.
  • Narrative and content ownership: craft evidence-based messages and compliant narratives across decks, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and digital assets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze medical literature, trials, and competitive intelligence to identify insights and unmet needs across therapeutic areas.
  • Translate complex science into clear narratives for HCPs and patients, with evidence-based arguments and compliant references.
  • Develop and oversee medical communication materials such as slide decks, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with senior medical strategists to create compelling medical briefing decks for pitches and projects.
  • Identify and interview key opinion leaders (KOLs), develop discussion guides, and summarize key takeaways.
  • Maintain strong client relationships as a trusted medical strategy advisor and secure buy-in for strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute medical strategy expertise to new business pitches and proposals.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of medical strategy across client work.
  • Develop agendas for workshops, pre-read materials, facilitation, notes, and report writing.
  • Support patient and HCP journey development through primary and secondary research, defining needs and touchpoints.
  • Monitor industry trends, data, and regulatory guidelines to inform recommendations and stay cutting edge.

Requirements

  • Degree in a scientific or medical field (e.g., biology, chemistry, pharmacy).
  • 2+ years of experience in medical strategy, medical communications, or related healthcare field.
  • Strong understanding of medical science and clinical trial data.
  • Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing medical materials such as slide decks, manuscripts, abstracts, and posters.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, including literature reviews and competitive intelligence.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with HCP and DTC marketing regulations and guidelines.

Preferred

  • An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) is a plus but not required.
  • Experience identifying and engaging KOLs is a plus.
