Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic publicity campaigns across album releases, tours, partnerships, announcements, and long-term artist positioning.
  • Execute proactive media outreach - and deliver results - across print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, newsletters, creators, and emerging media platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with music, entertainment, culture, lifestyle, and business media.
  • Identify internet-first publicity opportunities, including creator collaborations, digital franchises, social-first editorial formats, YouTube series, podcasts, TikTok, Instagram, and other culturally relevant platforms.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the fashion landscape, including luxury houses, designers, stylists, fashion editors, Fashion Week opportunities, and brand partnerships relevant to artist positioning.
  • Work collaboratively with record labels, artist management, booking agents, attorneys, stylists, and brand partners throughout campaign execution.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, biographies, talking points, briefing documents, media lists, and other client materials with little to no oversight.
  • Lead client meetings, internal brainstorms, and strategic planning sessions, consistently contributing thoughtful recommendations and creative solutions.
  • Stay informed on breaking news, music industry developments, pop culture, entertainment trends, fashion, and social media conversations that may create opportunities for clients.
  • Represent clients in the field across shoots, red carpets, interviews, broadcast bookings, events, and activations while confidently managing real-time issues and shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in music publicity, entertainment communications, or a related field, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Experience representing artists across multiple genres - including pop, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, country, rock, electronic, Latin, or adjacent entertainment sectors - is strongly preferred.
  • Strong existing relationships within music and entertainment media, record labels, management companies, and the broader cultural landscape are highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of today's music industry, artist campaigns, and media landscape.
  • Experience representing talent across multiple music genres and the ability to tailor communications strategies to different audiences, fan communities, and cultural moments.
  • Strong knowledge of internet culture, creator ecosystems, social media trends, and digital-first publicity opportunities.
  • Familiarity with the fashion industry, including luxury brands, fashion houses, stylists, editors, and key cultural events.
  • Existing relationships with music, entertainment, lifestyle, and culture media.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, pitching, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience representing talent across multiple genres - including pop, hip-hop, R&B, Afrobeats, country, rock, electronic, Latin, or adjacent entertainment sectors - is strongly preferred.
