Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Define Product Positioning and Messaging
  • Research, develop, and define differentiated positioning and messaging for Zūm’s individual products—translating capabilities into buyer-facing narratives that are clear, credible, and compelling.
  • Translate product capabilities into language that resonates with each persona, from district transportation directors to operations leaders to procurement teams. You make technical features feel like obvious answers to real problems.
  • Build and maintain messaging frameworks for individual products that serve as the source of truth for Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  • Conduct win/loss analysis and ongoing buyer research to pressure-test messaging and surface the insights that sharpen how we go to market.
  • Lead Go-to-Market Launches
  • Own go-to-market planning and execution for new product releases and feature launches, from messaging development and sales enablement to campaign briefs and launch communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, CS, and Demand Gen to ensure launches land with clarity and impact, internally and externally.
  • Define launch tiers, build timelines, and keep stakeholders on track, so nothing ships without a plan and nothing important goes unannounced.
  • Write launch content: release notes, blog posts, customer emails, sales alerts, and website copy updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B product marketing experience at a SaaS or technology company. You’ve developed positioning, led launches, and built enablement materials.
  • Exceptional writing skills. You can craft a positioning statement, a punchy one-pager, and a tight executive narrative.
  • A solid foundation in positioning methodology: you’ve built messaging frameworks from scratch, stress-tested them with sales teams, and used win/loss data to iterate.
  • Hands-on experience developing sales enablement materials that field teams actually use and that move conversion rates.
  • Strong cross-functional instincts—you build real relationships with Product, Sales, and CS, and you can hold your own in a roadmap review or a deal debrief.
  • Highly self-directed. As an individual contributor, you own your work end-to-end.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action. You don’t need a perfect brief to get started; you define the problem and build toward the answer.

Preferred

  • Experience marketing to public sector, education, or government buyers.
  • Familiarity with sales enablement platforms like Highspot or Seismic.
  • Experience at a high-growth startup where you had to build programs from scratch with limited resources and high expectations.
  • Background in category creation or narrative-led marketing at a company defining a new space.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Holidays, Wellness, Vacation, and more.
