Job Summary

Drive go-to-market messaging and launch content for StackGen’s platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE audiences, turning complex tooling into customer outcomes.

  • Must-have: Hands-on experience in DevOps/platform engineering or technical marketing.
  • Standout: AI-first content workflow and high-volume collateral production.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, differentiated product messaging and positioning across customer segments, including Platform Engineers, Delivery (Release/CI/CD) teams, SRE teams, and Observability teams.
  • Articulate StackGen’s value proposition in terms of customer outcomes—not just features—connecting platform capabilities to the day-to-day challenges these teams face.
  • Build and maintain messaging frameworks for both practitioner and executive audiences, including CTOs and VPs of Engineering, ensuring the story is compelling at every level.
  • Create website content and marketing assets that effectively communicate StackGen’s differentiation and ROI.
  • Quantify and communicate business impact, including deployment speed, cost savings, risk reduction, and team scalability.
  • Conduct in-depth research to understand industry trends, customer pain points, and competitive positioning across IaC, platform engineering, Delivery/CI/CD, SRE, and Observability.
  • Provide actionable insights to influence product strategy and sharpen differentiation.
  • Leverage AI-powered research tools to accelerate competitive intelligence gathering and synthesis.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring tight alignment across marketing, product, and sales teams.
  • Define and execute strategies to accelerate platform adoption, anchored in market needs and customer success narratives.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience working in the DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud native ecosystem—this may come from practitioner roles, technical marketing, developer relations, or a combination.
  • Deep familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Helm), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Delivery (Release/CI/CD), SRE practices and tooling (error budgets, runbooks, incident management), and Observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting).
  • Ability to quickly evaluate technical content for accuracy, relevance, and audience fit without needing to ramp up on fundamentals.
  • Comfort holding substantive conversations with engineers, architects, platform teams, and senior technical leaders alike.

Preferred

  • Background as a DevOps practitioner, platform engineer, SRE, or technical marketer in the cloud native space prior to moving into a marketing role.
  • Experience marketing to or alongside Platform Engineering, SRE, or Observability teams at enterprise-scale organizations.
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation tools, and content management systems.
  • Prior experience at a company in the IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or cloud native infrastructure space.

Benefits

  • Innovative Mission: Work at the forefront of agentic devops, shaping the future of cloud native technologies.
  • Impactful Work: Define how the world understands and adopts self-service infrastructure—building the narrative for a category in motion.
  • AI-Forward Team: Join a team that is actively building new operating models for marketing using AI, not just talking about it.
  • Growth & Benefits: Competitive compensation, equity, unlimited PTO, employer-contributed healthcare, and 401k.
