Responsibilities

• Build the account strategy and roadmap for PR accounts, translating client goals into a clear plan built around earned media outcomes
• Present strategy and roadmaps and lead the approval process
• Convert approved plans into the internal roadmap the team executes against
• Lead pitch strategy sessions to keep outreach sharp, timely, and tied back to the roadmap
• Lead proactive pitching efforts, ensuring consistent earned media placements across client accounts
• Step in personally to pitch media and help secure placements when the team needs additional support hitting the plan
• Oversee media list development, seasonal pitch calendars, and placement tracking
• Craft, or guide the team in crafting, pitches, press releases, and storylines that resonate with target outlets
• Serve as the senior point of contact on assigned PR accounts, owning the client relationship day to day
• Oversee the roadmap for every account under your leadership and be personally accountable for its execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field preferred
• 6+ years of PR/communications experience, with a proven agency background
• Established media relationships and a track record of securing impactful earned media coverage
• Demonstrated experience building client strategy and account roadmaps, not just executing someone else's plan
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members, with the confidence to hold people accountable directly
• Comfort presenting strategy directly to clients and leading the approval process
• Organized multitasker with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in media databases (Muck Rack, Critical Mention) and project management tools (Asana)
• Public relations: 6 years (Required)
