Job Summary

Own multi-channel marketing for CFP Board education and certification programs, with emphasis on renewals, events, and partner data sharing to optimize pipeline and revenue.

  • Growth & Programs Ownership: Plan and execute annual marketing plans for key CFP Board programs and store revenue.
  • Lifecycle & Renewal: Design campaigns to boost renewals, reduce churn, and win back lapsed certificants.
  • Analytics & Partnerships: Analyze data across NetForum, Tableau, GA4, and coordinate data sharing with NAPFA, FPA, and Quad-A to guide planning.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Growth & Programs Ownership: Plan and execute annual marketing plans for CFP Board programs including Financial Planning Review, Pro Bono, Emeritus, CE webinars, and online store revenue.
  • Lifecycle & Renewal: Design multi-channel campaigns to boost certification renewals, reduce churn, and win back lapsed certificants.
  • Analytics & Partnerships: Analyze data from NetForum, Tableau, HubSpot and GA4, report insights to the marketing team, and coordinate data sharing with partner organizations (NAPFA, FPA, Quad-A).
  • Conference & Events: Support annual conference planning and marketing execution, and represent CFP Board as an exhibitor at external events.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage external vendors (print/mail, digital certificates, framing, mobile apps) and oversee annual marketing budgets and revenue plans.
  • Internal Storefront & Merchandising: Manage the online store and branded merchandise for CFP Board and events, including staff-requested items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience developing marketing plans with measurable KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven project ownership from planning through execution and evaluation.
  • Collaborative, cross-functional influence and partner relationship skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; understands website analytics best practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; able to manage multiple tasks and realistic action plans.
  • Experience with integrated, multi-channel campaigns across email, direct mail, and telemarketing.
  • Experience managing external vendors and cross-functional relationships; travel to events up to 5 per year.
  • Budget and P&L experience; strong initiative and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Intermediate to expert level administrator in email marketing tools; HubSpot
  • Beginner to intermediate user of business intelligence tools, Tableau
