Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Sales-Focused Competitive Enablement
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to identify competitive gaps and improve win rates in strategic deals
  • Enable sales teams with tools and messaging to confidently articulate Anaplan’s differentiation throughout the sales cycle
  • Create competitive battlecards, win/loss insights, positioning frameworks, and sales playbooks that help field teams effectively position Anaplan against competitors
  • Monitor competitive landscapes, emerging vendors, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks for Anaplan’s platform and applications
  • Shape Market Messaging and Positioning
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Solutions Marketing leaders to refine differentiated messaging and positioning across Anaplan’s applications and platform
  • Develop actionable insights that inform product strategy, messaging, and go-to-market priorities
  • Translate competitive insights into compelling narratives that strengthen Anaplan’s value proposition in key markets
  • Support Analyst Relations

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, solutions marketing, or strategy roles within B2B enterprise software
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise planning and EPM market, including platforms such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPM Cloud Planning, Pigment, OneStream, Planful, or IBM Planning Analytics
  • Experience analyzing competitive landscapes in enterprise applications, cloud platforms, analytics, planning technologies, or adjacent markets
  • Strong ability to translate market and competitive insights into actionable messaging, positioning, and sales enablement assets
  • Experience supporting analyst relations or engaging with industry analysts is strongly preferred
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics into compelling narratives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing leadership
  • Highly analytical, curious, and proactive, with the ability to synthesize information quickly and communicate insights clearly
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments and can manage multiple priorities while delivering impactful results
