Job Summary

Own integrated marketing and communications execution with cross-functional PM leadership, shaping strategy, storytelling, and CRM-driven outbound work for multiple channels.

  • Responsibilities: oversee strategy, planning and major initiatives; drive storytelling across print, web, newsletters, multimedia, and ads; coordinate with design, video, and web teams; manage social media and PR support.
  • Audience and channels: internal stakeholders, higher-education audience, and broad external audiences across websites, newsletters, and campaigns.
  • Measurement and planning: partner on annual plans, monitor outcomes, and apply market research to optimize programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies and serve as the project manager for major initiatives, providing key strategic insights that guide execution.
  • Lead marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives; collaborate with the Director on the annual marketing and communications plan and unit-level plans; oversee the development of marketing tools, research, and analytics.
  • Guide strategic storytelling opportunities across marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, website content, multimedia projects, and advertising campaigns.
  • Partner with the Director and specialized team members in web, graphic design, photography, and videography.
  • Lead social media strategy, manage internal communications channels, develop presentations and promotional materials, support public relations efforts, coordinate market research, and manage outbound communications and analytics through CRM tools.
  • Understand and apply the Essential Job Functions: 25% Marketing and Promotion; 20% Communications and Public Relations; 20% Social Media; 15% Marketing Planning and Research; 15% Budget Management and Supervision; 5% Other.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field
  • AND three (3) years of professional level experience in marketing, promotional or related work
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Experience with web/HTML, e-mail marketing tools, presentation software, social media channels, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to details.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing marketing and communications plans, assessing and analyzing outcomes, and researching new market strategies and solutions or related work.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends.
  • Not eligible for work visa sponsorship

Preferred

  • Experience working in a higher education or similar institutional setting.
  • Advanced degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated successful marketing and promotion experience in healthcare, education, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects independently and with specific deadlines.
