  • Own market landscape: track competitors, pricing, and partnerships to inform positioning and playbooks.
  • Enable sales: deliver battlecards, objection handling, and win/loss insights to improve deal outcomes.
  • Strategic alignment: influence product marketing and market-expansion decisions with data-driven recommendations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Analyze competitors, market trends, customer needs, and industry dynamics to identify risks and opportunities
  • Translate market insights into clear, actionable recommendations that shape go-to-market strategy and business priorities
  • Build and maintain a structured, comprehensive view of the competitive landscape
  • Develop high-impact sales enablement tools, including battlecards, objection handling guidance, and positioning support
  • Monitor competitor activity (product changes, pricing, partnerships, and market moves) and assess business implications
  • Support market expansion efforts, including new industries, segments, and offerings
  • Partner with product marketing to refine differentiation, positioning, and messaging to ensure competitiveness in the market
  • Equip sales teams with actionable insights to improve performance in competitive deals
  • Contribute to win/loss analysis and ensure insights are applied to improve future outcomes
  • Support high-value or strategic deals where competitive dynamics are critical

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, strategy, or a related field
  • Experience supporting B2B sales environments with complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to turn insight into action
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Bias toward practical, results-oriented output over theoretical analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20–30% for events, customer engagement, and market intelligence gathering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Strategy, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
