Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, identify and implement marketing strategies to meet current and emerging needs of the Maritime Division lines-of-business including Cruise, Fishing and Commercial Operations and Recreational Boating; identify emerging markets, new cruise lines, commercial/fishing and recreational boating moorage products and services to expand maritime business and retain existing customers
  • Provide comprehensive marketing and communication leadership for Maritime division business directors responsible for multiple competing initiatives at multiple Port facilities
  • Manage and supervise Maritime Marketing staff and professional services consultant contracts
  • Deliver marketing across multimedia platforms including print, visual (still & video) social, and website, across consumer and trade audiences for multiple business units
  • Collaborate with business partners to solve business challenges and innovate solutions for increased revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Develop and manage annual Maritime division marketing plans and related expense budgets
  • Partner with internal and external destination marketing organizations and other stakeholders to leverage messaging and budgets by collaboratively partnering on efforts in support of business partners
  • Conduct and/or participate in research related to customer insights, growth opportunities, regional economic benefits and utilize results to support business partners

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of experience in cruise/maritime, marketing or business development, including three (3) years supervising staff and managing a marketing or business development program
  • Equity-focused: apply equity and exemplify shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work
  • Proficient in marketing including paid and organic advertising, branding, event planning, and trade show management; able to develop and maintain brand awareness, manage marketing processes, collaborate with agencies, and use analytical skills to oversee budgets and suggest pricing and revenue strategies
  • Efficient Communicator with excellent oral, written and visual design communication skills; customer-focused and experienced in engagement, retention and recruitment of customers
  • Highly Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while achieving goals and timely execution
  • Strategic & Analytical: experience with strategic planning, managing budgets, and overseeing the creative process from innovation to delivery; skilled in analysis of budgets, product, and services information including website and social media

Preferred

  • Experience in event planning and managing marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C audiences
  • Experience using customer service programs to manage communications and support customer retention
