Job Description

Responsibilities

  • External Partner Management: Own the content merchandising and editorial strategies specifically for Channel partners, developing and maintaining strong professional relationships. Assist in other merchandising areas as necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of content coordinators to execute and evolve our daily merchandising operations.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Use analytics and performance data to continuously refine placement strategies and editorial decisions.
  • Engagement Optimization: Drive initiatives that optimize engagement and viewing time per user through effective content placement.
  • Tool & Process Improvement: Optimize Channel partner tools and identify areas for improvement and promotional opportunity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to align merchandising efforts with content calendars and tentpole events.
  • Brand Stewardship: Champion editorial best practices that reflect our brand and ensure consistency in tone and execution.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading editorial or content merchandising functions for a digital consumer product or streaming platform.
  • Management Skills: Skilled in team leadership and talent development, with a focus on building collaborative and agile teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong ability to use data to guide decision-making and improve user engagement.
  • Collaborative Success: Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with product, content, and business teams.
  • Operational Expertise: Experience managing editorial calendars and a deep understanding of content presentation best practices across mobile, TV, and web.
  • Technical Familiarity: Comfort with digital operations and various content management systems.
  • Problem-solver: Willingness and ability to trouble-shoot issues in high pressure situations and communicate challenges and solutions to leadership.
  • Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace a minimum of 3 days per week is an essential function of the position. Selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
