Job Summary

Own paid media ownership and creative leadership across multi-channel campaigns, translating strategy into content across video, social, ads, and email, while mentoring the team and coordinating with partners and vendors.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Growth Infrastructure: Own end-to-end paid media and digital campaigns from concept to measurement.
  • Creative & Content: Lead development of messaging frameworks, ad scripts, and direct-to-audience communications.
  • Content Translation: Translate strategic objectives into high-impact content across platforms including video, social media, digital advertising, and email.
  • Creative Direction: Develop creative concepts, messaging frameworks, ad scripts, and direct-to-audience communications (including mail where applicable).
  • Campaign Partnerships: Own the end-to-end process for paid media and digital campaigns, from concept to execution to measurement.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Oversee and collaborate closely with digital vendors on paid media strategy, targeting, optimization, and performance reporting.
  • Performance & Reporting: Establish clear KPIs and performance benchmarks, and communicate results to partners and stakeholders in clear, actionable ways.
  • Optimization & Insights: Use data and insights to continuously optimize creative and digital strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support the Creative Manager, providing mentorship, direction, and strategic guidance.
  • Collaboration & Alignment: Serve as a key liaison to partner organizations, translating their goals into creative and digital strategies; Build strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
  • Brand & Narrative Quality: Ensure all creative and content reflects Murmuration\'s values and strengthens brand identity; Elevate storytelling across campaigns and platforms; Maintain awareness of emerging digital trends to keep campaigns innovative.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in content/digital strategy, creative leadership, or campaign management at an agency, political campaign, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-impact media campaigns with measurable results.
  • Proven ability to manage creative talent and external vendors effectively.
  • Strong portfolio of work showcasing digital storytelling, creative strategy, and performance-driven campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of paid media, digital platforms, content strategy, and analytics.
  • Excellent writing and messaging skills, with experience crafting scripts, digital content, and campaign narratives.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience translating complex data and performance metrics into clear insights for partners and stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience working in political, advocacy, or social impact environments.
  • Familiarity with modern digital organizing and persuasion tools; Experience with polling, audience research, or message testing.
